About us
An independent broker for Missouri employers
We exist for one job: making sure Missouri businesses do not overpay for employee health coverage, and do not have to figure it out alone.
Group Health Missouri is an independent insurance brokerage focused on group health coverage for Missouri employers. Independent means no carrier owns us or tells us what to sell. When we look at your coverage, we put every option available to your group side by side and recommend the one that fits your people and your budget.
Why we do this
Most owners we talk to did not start a business to become benefits experts. The renewal letter shows up, the increase is painful, and there is no time to call four carriers and decode their plan summaries. So the renewal gets signed. Repeat that for a few years and a business can end up paying well over market for a plan that no longer fits.
Our work is to break that cycle. We learn your team, shop the Missouri market, explain the trade-offs in plain language, and handle the paperwork once you decide. Then we stick around, because the hard parts of a health plan show up after enrollment: an employee's claim gets denied, a new hire needs to be added mid-month, or next year's renewal lands.
What it costs you: nothing extra. Carriers pay brokers a commission built into the premium. Your rate is the same whether you buy through us or directly from the carrier.
How we work
- Honest comparisons. If your current plan is the best option, we will tell you to keep it.
- Network first. We check doctors, hospitals and prescriptions before talking price.
- No sensitive data on our forms. We never ask for Social Security numbers or medical history to start a quote.
- One point of contact. The same team handles your quote, enrollment, service and renewals.
What we help with
- Small business health insurance for 2 to 50 eligible employees.
- Large group health insurance for employers with 51 or more.
- Choosing among plan types, from HMO and PPO to HSA-qualified plans.
- Budgeting with our cost guide and staying on the right side of Missouri's rules.
- Tracking Missouri small group rate changes each year.
